Kasuri malai mirth is a very delicious chicken dish with creamy flavorsome grave, Kasuri Malai Murgh belongs to Mughal Cuisine it's very accent dish which has rich creamy aromatic grave due to be the presence of Kasuri Methi or dry fenugreek leaves with a tender or flavorsome Chicken pieces. It's ideal for a house party or dinner.

Ingredients -
1 kg - chicken
1/2 cup - curd or yogurt
1/2 cup - fresh cream
2 tbsp - Kasuri methi or dry fenugreek leaves
4 - finely chopped onion
2 tbsp - Ginger paste
2 tbsp - garlic paste
3 - tomato ( puree)
1 tbsp - black paper ( crushed)
2 tbsp - coriander powder(dhania)
1-1/2 tbsp - red chili powder ( Lal mirch)
1/4 tbsp - turmeric powder ( Haldi)
1 tbsp - salt or to taste
3 tbsp - oil
Whole spices-
4 - cardamom(elaichi)
2 -black cardamom ( badi elaichi)
4 -clove (lung)
2 - bay leaf ( ten pasta)
1 inch - cinnamon stick
*Kasuri malai murgh recipe
1 wash chicken nicely and marinate with curd, salt, black pepper powder for one hour.
2 heat 3 tbsp oil once the oil is hot add all whole spices cardamoms, clove, bay leaf, cinnamon stick.
3 let the spices crackle.
4 add ginger paste or garlic paste add onion and saute till the raw smell goes off.
6 add tomato puree saute for 2 minutes.
7 add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and saute for 2 minutes.
8 add marinated chicken and Kasuri methi and salt fry in high flame for 2 minutes and cover it for 10 minutes or until the chicken is done.
9 add cream and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
10 add freshly chopped coriander and serve hot with parathas or naan.
* Benefits of Methi or fenugreek
Fenugreek or methi dana imparts many health benefits. It has soluble fiber which helps in reducing cholesterol especially LDL, controls blood sugar levels, and helps lose weight by suppressing appetite if taken soaked overnight on empty stomach in the morning.
